Coming along

I have finely gotten my granddaughter's quilt-top finished.  Cotton batting will be the middle layer and lavender/purple fabric is the backing.  This is a lap quilt with embroidered hummingbirds on the white blocks.  I will be hand quilting the color blocks with the same pattern as the embroidered blocks.  I think I am going to use a very dark Pearl Cotton Thread to quilt it with.  Just need to find something as dark as I am thinking.

As you can see, I have finished embroidering the pillowcases for the hope chest for one of my granddaughters and am considering the edging/lace that will be crocheted on the edge.  This is a light lavender and I am leaning toward a really pale mint green.  I got some light green bamboo crochet thread that I tried on it but it looked really nasty.  Absolutely the wrong shade of green.

This is the needlepoint piece that I got to work on in the car ages ago.  It is finished and mounted on it's board.  It will be put up in my office as soon as I get the remodel done.
